How are products packaged?
It makes us happy to reuse and recycle shipping materials so your kit may come in recycled materials. We also only use plant cellulous plastic bags for the kits and buffs!
Is benzoyl peroxide a toxic skin care ingredient?
BP has been given a low toxicity rating of 3 by a very stringent agency, Environmental Working Group, Skin Deep. To give you an idea retinol is given a 9, glycolic acid a 4 and salicylic acid a 4. https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/700694/BENZOYL_PEROXIDE/
Can I return the kit if my acne does not get clear?
If you have opened any product we can not refund that product. See Refund Policy in the footer. If you opened one product in a kit we can refund the unopened products-those products will be refunded at the discounted kit items price. We recommend taking a photo of your skin once a week in the same location at the same time of day to measure your progress as sometimes when we see ourselves every day it is hard to see the progress. How long will the kit last?
Different people will use the products differently due to skin and acne type. But typically the cleanser will last 3-5 weeks, the moisturizer or serum 4-8 weeks, the BP 10% Gel 6-16 weeks and the buff should be replaced every 30-45 days. Or clean your buff in bleach water for longer use.
Can I stop using the products when my skin gets clear?
If you stop the products the acne will most likely return. No topical product will stop acne it will only control it while it is being used.
Does the Acne Stop Kit have any side effects?
Benzoyl peroxide may cause some mild side effects such as redness and dryness which typically goes away withing 3-5 days. A very small group of people experience an actual allergy to BP. If you experience itching, a rash, hives, swelling of the lips and shortness of breath you should stop use immediately and consult a healthcare practitioner. Before using it on your face you can do a patch test on your inner arm for 3 days in a row. Apply one time per day in the same area.
Are the Acne Stop Kits good for all skin tones?
Yes. Your Acne Kit will help with pimples and bumps as well as dark spots.
If I have eczema, psoriasis or rosacea it is safe to use the Acne Kits?
If you have any of these conditions we recommend talking with your qualified esthetician or medical provider before trying the kit.
Are the Acne Stop Kits pregnancy safe?
Benzoyl peroxide is listed as a Category C-uncertain safety; human and animal studies show no adverse events. Due to the uncertainty our policy is to NOT use BP products until after the pregnancy. Retinols, glycolic acid and salicylic acid are not pregnancy safe. A safe option we recommend is to use the Hylunia Colloidal Silver Mist up to 2 times a day.
What is retention hyperkeratosis, or ‘top dry’?
Retention hyperkeratosis is a very common condition often seen in acne skin. It is often a large player in the source of acne. The stratum corneum sloughs off a layer of dead skin cells each day but for people who have retention hyperkeratosis the dead skin cells do not slough properly. Instead they sit on the skin forming layers of flakiness and inside the pores the extra dead skin cells mix with sebum to form impactions, clogging and hard plugs.
Does benzoyl peroxide really have an 80% efficacy rate?

Does benzoyl peroxide cause sun sensitivity?
No it does not. Retinols, AHA’s, BHA’s and antibiotics do though.
